Ive recently gotten into photography. My interest involves using, as well as understanding how to use, early film cameras.

Currently im using a family heirloom Kodak Brownie Hawkeye. Ive been shooting standard Ilford 120 b&w in it, using a 620 take up spool. Ive just ordered some more b&w film, as well as some b&w infrared film, so im excited to experiment with that.

This brownie has been fun, but im hoping to also use my two other cameras this summer. A Kodak 2A folder, as well as an Ansco 2A Buster Brown (this was Ansco's copy of the kodak 2a). As all three of these can be loaded with 120, that looks like it will be my format of choice for this summer.

Im glad to be here and im sure ill have fun.

Welcome! You sure will have a lot to read and learn here and, if it hasn't ever been discussed before, there are some great guys that know a lot about film, paper and processing.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.

Im sure I will be having a blast this summer. So much to read, learn and try out.

My Hawkeye may be old at 1952 but.. I cant wait to try my two 1920s box cameras out! Im sure it will take me a few rolls to understand the best way to use these, but I will post the photos when I figure it out.

I have a Hawkeye sitting on the self waiting for me to find a subject worthy of the two Verichrome Pan 620 rolls that expired January 1978.

Best of welcomes. 'Sounds like you're about to have obscene amounts of fun. Enjoy!
If you make it near Portlandia - happy to talk about fun places to shoot.

Welcome from Bothell, WA. The Hawkeye is a lot of fun, look into flipping the lens.

Welcome from Seattle, WA! Hope this summer treats you with good light. Nowhere quite like the PNW.
