My namne is Lasse and I work on a swedish folkhighschool. A schoolsystem which are unique for scandinavia. I have a course on 36 weeks in alternative
photography. The biggest part of the course is the copperphotogravureprocess which I worked with since 1987. We4 also use gumbichromate, van dyke, cyanotypi and so on..
For me this is a fascinating work and the course is the only course in the world in noncommercial photo. My students are often between 19 - 26 years old and what we doo is to exploring the language in picturemaking. From this
point of thewiew the students is going diffrent ways...
I just love picturemaking in diffrent styles.....
Good to know you Lasse. I also live in Sweden (Stockholm). I have been living in Stockholm since 1998 (I married a Swede) and despite the harsh winters and sometimes not so warm summers, I find the countryside and cities full of opportunities for making wonderful photos. Vi ses!
Welcome Lasse. I too experienced a lengthy course in alt.photography processes in Richmond with Terry King and we attempted to re-create the original process used by Niepce with bitumen of Judea. Very interesting experiments.

Hi Lasse. Welcome to APUG. Is your work published, btw? I seem to be familiar with your name from something I've seen recently. That's probably because my wife is about to dive headlong into copperplate photogravure (we've just gotten a custom made intaglio press..., now we have to build the UV light source and learn the 'ropes', though she's quite well schooled in printmaking) and I must have seen your name in connection with that process...(if I've seen it at all). Please post some work. We'll be eager to see it!!
Welcome Lasse,
I must have been brain-dead and missed your posts, but am eager to view any new work you may post in the future.
Even tho I don't practice any alt processes, I do enjoy looking at them.
