Hello all.

I am a seveteen year old darkroom newbie from Sweden. I started to be interested in photography one or maybe to years ago and because I wanted to learn from scratch I bought an old Practika MTL 5B. Since then I have also bought (or got) some other "toys" like an Zeiss Ikon Nettar 517/2, a Konica C35 automatic and a Pocket Instamatic 92

I have also started to develope b/w films myself and I also have a temporary darkroom in our sauna. However I'am not good at printing (yet) and the ergonomics in there are not good (my back starts to hurts after ten minutes) so I haven't printed so much (yet)

My other interests includes music (plays a little guitar and bass), being with friends and stuff like that.

Oh, btw my newest love are 6x9 negatives from 120 film

Välkommen!
My first real film camera was a Practika MTL 5. It worked fine unit it fell off a shelf one day
I fell in love with film all over again when I got my hands on a Zenza Bronica ETR, it's 120 format also, though the frame is 6x4.5.
It's nice to see another young Swede that's into film photography! Sometimes it feels like I'm the only one.
Anyway, this board is a great tool for learning and the members seem to be really nice. Enjoy your stay!

Hade gott!

Hi Markus (nice name, but you spell it wrong )

It's nice to see a young man not going into that digital world, but discover our beautiful world of analogue.

Welcome to APUG

Hello Markus,

It's nice to see more members of the swedish gang finding the analog haven here... Would be cool to see a SWAPUG meet-up some time.

Welcome, and tolerate the temporary darkroom

Keep with it - I have printed B&W off and on for more than 25 years, and am just feeling that I am getting good at it now. Not to say that all my fiddling in the past wasn't enjoyable. Good prints come from good negatives. Google up a decaesed photogrpaher named Barry Thornton - someone elese is now keeping his articles online. He has an excellent low fuss way for you to tune your film development in to match the your printing papers capabilities.

I am on my seventh darkroom now. Each time that you reloacate the new space will bring inovation with how to get the printing to work out easier.
