Hi folks!
I just want to say what a pleasant discovery APUG is! I can thank Adam at SKGrimes right now for telling me about this. I called him about a lens issue with a Speed Graphic I just got my hands on.
Despite having spent almost 3 years reading about medium and large format, I don't even quite know how to load a 4x5 film holder yet. But I'm just not capturing what I want to with either 35 mm film or the Nikon D200 I just purchased. It's time for me to move up to bigger film.
I'm going to need some help finding local resources I need to get started.
I'm mostly interested in seascapes for the moment, and even before that, getting some hands-on to get me started. The really basic stuff.
Are there any Rhode Islanders (especially in South County) who can volunteer, trade, or charge me a modest amount to get me started? It's not practical for me to enroll in a Northern Rhode Island course right now.
