Hello everyone!
I've been lurking for well over a year and have been a member since last fall, so I decided I should probably come out of the closet and say hello.
My name is Julie, and I live in Salt Lake City, Utah. I'm a musician, and I moved here about 7 years ago (can't believe it's been that long!) for my job.
I always loved photography, and I took two semesters of photo (B&W darkroom) in college, and loved it, and always bemoaned the fact that I never could afford/get access to a darkroom. So about three years ago I took a short photo/darkroom class through the local community education program and now I'm hooked again. I currently take classes and do my printing at the Salt Lake City Art Center, although I am taking the summer off.
I also do vegetable gardening, but mostly just so I can make pickled things, and knitting, and I like cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. I love taking photos of snow, so I basically snowshoe so I can take pictures. I'm never quite as inspired in the summer, which partly explains my summer hiatus.
Anyway, thank you for all the wonderful information on the site, I never feel like I need to post a question because it's all there in the archives. And even if I never find an exact answer, there's tons of great reading anyway!
