Hello everyone,

My name is Pierre (any pronouns). I'm 30 years old and have been taking pictures since I was 14 or 15 (wow, I just realized I've been shooting half my life). I mostly do street and urban landscape photography in the Tri-Cities metropolitan area. I'm an occasional lurker to the forum and am happy to get to join as I find myself shooting more and more film lately.

Thanks, Larry. You’re quite a ways north of me, but I do enjoy BC when I get a chance to get out there. My partner has a timeshare in Whistler we stay at for a week every other August. I think the closest I’ve been to your neck of the woods was helping an American family friend move from the Tri-Cities, WA to Quesnel, BC for an ill-fated bed and breakfast venture when I was 12.
Once I find my way around the forum a bit more, I’ll share my Whistler pictures... unless you’d be able to kindly direct me to an appropriate place. All of them were with digital Fuji X-Pro cameras but I’m crossing my fingers I’ll be able to bring a film camera out next year.

As for learning more about me… I don’t really know what to say, but feel free to ask. I'm an open book.

Sadly, my Pentax and Canonet are broken and the Fuji GA645 may have a problem with the focus motor after dropping it on a concrete floor this week. I’m in the market for a Minolta Autocord (getting access to the forum classifieds was honestly one of the reasons why I finally decided to join up after lurking - finding an eBay seller who doesn’t lie about the condition of their Autocords has proven difficult!).

I don’t have a favorite film yet. I haven’t spent enough time with a single film with the lab I started using. I do like HP5 and FP4 and fell in love with the one roll of Pan F+ I shot with the Fuji GA645. For color, I guess Ektar. So far I prefer cubic grain emulsions in 120 over T-grain films.

I usually gravitate to focal lengths in the 35-50mm range on 135 (or whatever the equivalents are for a given format).
