Hi there!
i'm Mattheu from Paris, France, i've been shootinh for a couple of years, mostly digital for the last years, but i've gone back to film photography some months ago.
And i've proudly just developped my first roll of Tx a few days ago, marking my full come back to this beautiful medium!
Found your forum while looking how to clean of dust from a "not dried yet negative handled by an over hyped young photographer"
Mistakes were made, but i'm looking forward to share and learn a lot more here!
(still got 6 rolls waiting to be developped, and many more to shoot with!)

Welcome to APUG

We spend last May in Paris, the Loire Valley and Normandy and had a wonderful time.

Sirius, we probably crossed paths--same place but started out in Avignon and drove to Paris via French Alps. A glorious vacation ... a beautiful country.

Welcome to APUG

Sirius Glass, in your travels last May, did you come across a chemical, produced in Normandy, that does wonders when developing film as long as that chemical is in the photographer developing the film, i.e. Calvados...If any is spilled when pouring in the darkroom, don't worry, it makes the darkroom smell like apples.
To Hello From Paris, welcome to APUG and please don't take everything that we say here too seriously other than our welcomes which are genuine........Regards!

I am pretty sure that I came in contact with chemicals in France as I have done else where, but I did not find any silver bullets except in dead werewolves.

Bienvenue sur APUG Mattheu!

I'm not sure I agree with oldtimermetoo, as there are two possible outcomes:
- the Calvados is of the industrial kind, and may ruin the floor, then the ceiling below it, then next floor then...(iterate as many times as there are floors), then ravage the soil until it reaches Earth's heart, where it may cause severe damages
- if it's a good one, then the souls of old distillers will haunt you till your last days on Earth

Laurent (Currently enjoying a nice Bowmore, but also very found of Calvados)

Wow! Thanks for the warm welcome!

Unfortunatly, i've never been able to take any "good enough" shot inside of Paris. This always makes me sad considering how many photographers would love to be there.
But i find the suburbs a much more reWarding area!

Soon enough i'll ne able to share some of my work here, for now, i'll keep "reading & learning" but hopefully before the end of the month i'll have a scanner.

And regarding this apple smeeling chemicals, i'm still wondering which dilution to use with the developping man, in order get the best results of your negs :D
I might stay with my rotten grapejuice from southwest France!

I'm a big fan of both:wink:...
