Long time film shooter since I was just a kid shooting 126 and 110 mostly, then some 35mm. Really got into it later with Canon FD 35mm, lately my eyes aren't so good so I finally got into AF with the EOS 650 and just got an EOS-1N RS yesterday, quite a bit of fun. I'm mostly shooting Ilford B&W and Fuji color these days.

Welcome from yet another Ontarian currently pitching a tent in Beijing - glad to see the community growing over there!

Do you self-process? If you're ever interested in doing that this is the place to ask questions believe me!

Best of luck and please share some images if you ever want to be bothered with scanning them

If you're in or near the GTA--hell, even if you're not--check out the upcoming "Mother of All Photo Fairs" on 10/17.

http://www.phsc.ca/fairs.html

The Toronto board is worth a look, even if it is a bit sleepy at times.

The Globe and Mail has also fired up a new feature called "Camera Club" that may turn out to be worthwhile. Globe staff photographers are trying to make it work, so have a look and chip in there, too.

Thanks again for the welcome everyone!

I used to process film a long time ago and should really get back into it but I've been lazy of late. However, so little film is being shot lately that I have to wait a bit which kills me some days so again I should at least get some tanks and baths to process the negs even if I just scan them. I should fire up the enlarger again too but I already have more prints than my wife wants around the house at one time...

Thanks for the fair reminder and I will check out the Toronto board.

I have lots of scans so I'll start sharing once I figure out the best places to post them here.

Welcome to APUG. Mostly people post to the galleries. Posting images to discussion threads is more for discussing/asking advice on a special picture/negative. At least that's my 0.02€

Welcome from the other side of Canada. I see you have the Canon FL 55mm f/1.2 lens as well. They are a great SOLID lens. I have mine on my T90 a very great deal of time. I know it is a lot of weight but I'm a big guy so it is a cake walk for me...... I works well with Canon 2X-B Extender. Definitely pack the both of them for my hikes. Never a disappointment yet.

Yes, the 55 f/1.2 FL is a serious chunk of glass! It is very easy to remove the FL mount so I'm going to make a non-destructive EF mount for it which I can swap in by just undoing the 3 screws. It looks like there will be back focus issues at infinity but of course with my fixed-mirror EOS-1N RS this won't be an issue
