Hello everyone!

I've found many threads of useful info on here over the last couple of years, so I figured I should sign up.

I've been into photography and cameras as long as I can remember. I very nearly turned photography into a career, then went into live sound instead, but I've recently gotten back into film.

I've owned a few 126 cameras, still have a Pentax 110, had a nice Rolleiflex and a couple of 1930s folding 120 cameras, a couple of M42 Prakticas, a cheap Pentacon Six than went horribly wrong, 5 or 6 utterly dreadful Yashica SLRs mostly exchanged under warranty (wanted to go down the Contax route) and some odd and interesting lenses, before ending up with a couple of Nikon Fs and an F2 and some really nice bits of Nikkor glass.

About 12 years ago, I sold most of the above (apart from the Nikons and including a darkroom setup with a Zenith UPA5, yuck!) to fund a Fuji S3 pro with a couple of cheap and nasty Nikkor lenses, all of which I still have but don't really use. And then I realised...

I really don't like electronic or automatic cameras and I honestly don't really like digital either.

Fast forward to 2015 and I found my Nikon F in a drawer. Bought a few films, went on holiday and shot them, bought some used developing tanks and new chemicals for sod all. Scoured ebay and found a complete darkroom setup with a Durst AC707 for £50, less than 40 miles away... I had missed the smell of darkroom chemicals!

A darkroom I could have only dreamed about many years ago. And tomorrow the upgrade/repair kit for my Nova tank should arrive

Hello from Dorset

It's amazing what darkroom Equipment you can pick up for peanuts. A complete darkroom for £50 is quite the bargain!

I hope you get lots of fun and some great prints from your new darkroom.

Welcome. I still have my F bought new in 1967. Still ticking. I have good friends in Bradwell and have spent quite a bit of time all over your beautiful area.
