Hello from New Jersey

Hey guys I'm fairly new to film photography so I've come here to learn a bit. I had a DSLR for years that I bought in high school and used it for a while before I became bored with it. I would take hundreds of photos and dump them on my hard drive only to never look at them again. So about a year ago I got back into photography but decided to change things up so I purchased a Rolleiflex Automat of all things and I love it. I shot mostly slide film because there is something magical about developed slides that I can't explain. I also picked up a Rolleicord IIb, a Rolleiflex SL35 SLR and a Leica R4.

I shot a lot of nature photography and by that I like to go on hikes and always take my camera with me. Though to be honest 90% of my photos are of my dog and I'm not ashamed of it. That's about it with me just thought I'd introduce myself.

Hi RP, and welcome aboard.

Yeah, I think most folks (including me) take lots of digital photos and never look at them again.

I've been shooting/developing/printing real darkroom photos for over 60 years.
I still find it challenging and rewarding, far beyond any gratification I get from digital.

Hope you will too.

BTW... Rollei cameras are excellent, both optically and mechanically.

Do you project your slides? And if so what projector do you use?

Nothing wrong with taking pictures of you dog. And not easy to take a really good picture of a dog. Dogs sit absolutely still in a great pose until that precise instant you are ready to press the shutter and dog decides to go elsewhere. All of your cameras are good choices. A 2 1/4 projector can be purchased quite reasonably, the all manual Leica and Hassy (rebadged Leitz) are probably the best choices.

I've actually got a Kiev 66 projector.

That one is new to me. Interesting design, as it takes 5x5 and 7x7 trays.
