Hello all - I decided this year to learn something new, and after discovering and going through a large box of slides from my late grandfather it ended up being film photography. I used film a bit growing up (I'm in my late 30s for reference) but it didn't extend beyond a childhood point and shoot and my parents giving me a disposable camera to take to summer camp. So I guess you could say I grew up *during* film but didn't really grow up *with* film.

I've dabbled in photography as a hobby off and on over the years (digital) but before going on vacation this year in Europe I decided I would get a film camera and learn to develop. Started with an AE-1 Program and a bottle of Cinestill DF96 and I've been obsessed ever since. I've done 10 or so rolls in C41 at home, and many rolls of B&W. My B&W stuff transitioned to D-76 and then XTOL (where I am now and will likely stay, the replenishment routine is so easy and cost effective), and I recently started experimenting with pushing different films. Right now I'm working through a bin of bulk rolled Tri-X and Delta 400, alternating between box speed, one stop, and two stops pushed, and I think HP5 is going to be the next film stock I try to get to know.

I've also begun playing around with medium format, I love the negatives.

Since I've been delving into this, this site has popped up many times when searching questions, so I figured I may as well make an account here and participate. Looking forward to learning and sharing with you all.

I too have used replenished XTOL for almost 20 years. Properly sealed XTOL and replenished XTOL can last over a year.
