hey everyone

I've been shooting film exclusively for a few years now, almost entirely 35mm BW. After Neopan died I experimented a little before finding HP5, pretty happy with that.
Getting back into printing, hopefully this winter I'll even try FB

I need a new eye exam. What I initially read was "after Napoleon died". My first thought was, man, he's been shooting HP5 for a loooong time.

Welcome to apug! HP5 has been my favourite film for many years. I've shooting it in all formats up to 8x10. Montreal is a great city. I visited it for the first time, with family, without camera, this past summer. Hit Shwartz's Deli, too. I will return with my LF camera some day!

Hi, I am from Montréal too. Started over with films some 5 years ago with a Canon A-1, then several other cameras (Nikon FM2n, F100, FE2, F80), Konica (FT-1, T3n), Pentax (K1000, ESII, Spotmatic F)...
We are some film lovers over there.
Speaking of films, I was very fond of the LegacyPro line (re-branded Fuji neopan and acros) and also the Kodak Plus-X 125 (also sold under Arista Premium 100). Now, I use either Foma or Ilford. I also have a roll of 100' of Orwo N74 (400 ISO) and Rollei Retro 80...

Amazingly one store exclusively film oriented just opened in Montréal. It's called "Le studio argentique". On Mont-Royal avenue... Films, chemicals, used cameras, studio, club, etc.

Welcome aboard!

Welcome to APUG from a Canadian living in Japan! Montreal is definitely one of my favourite cities, if I ever went back to Canada that's where I'd like to end up. Looking forward to seeing some of your work!

That must have been across the Fraser in Surrey and then on through New Westminster... If you look hard, you can see Poco, and Coquitlam (where I live)... but you have to look REALLY hard.
