Hello,
I have been lurking in the forum for a few months, learning a lot about photography and the APUG community. Prior to finding APUG I had not really realized how large and friendly the photographic community was. I am very fortunate to have found APUG. There is such a wealth of knowledge available here, not to mention the wonderful photographs available in APUG galleries.
My interest in photography started when I was seven years old, living in Poland at the time. I always enjoyed taking pictures but did very little of my own processing and printing. A few years ago I became disabled and turned to photography for help. Since then, I have become more seriously involved in the photographic process and have tried to learn more about photography as part of our cultural heritage.
I like photographing people. I typically use black and white film, though have also used some color in the past. I process my own negatives, but darkroom printing is currently beyond my physical limitations. I hope, however, to be able to do it some day.
It's nice to meet you all. I look forward to hanging around here a lot.
