I have been lurking here reading posts and even asking a few questions. I stumbled back into B&W and printing my own work after a brief but fascinating stint in high school. I had planned on using a 35mm to create a history of my family and construct an album for each of my children. Well that was how it started anyway. In the last few months I've managed to find a "need" for a 645 Pro, a couple of rb67's, and an almost complete darkroom. I really enjoy the slow pace of the rb and find it a joy work with.
I have learned much from these forums and am glad there are so many willing to help. It looks like the Midwest is getting quite the representation lately!

Good to see more Minnesota representation. What part of the state?

Perhaps we'll get enough "locals" for an outing.

Straight west of STP/MPLS about 20 miles. Grew out of the townhome in the burbs.

Welcome and congratulations on de-lurking. :D I wonder if there's something in the air or water here that we seem to be turning up so many photographers that still shoot film.

Oh yeah, hello from your SW suburban neighbor.

Hi Matt:

It's a pleasure to meet you.

Besides photographing your family, rumor has it that there's some really beautiful country around you, too.

Welcome Matt, from another Matt, with the same initials (apparently) in British Columbia, Canada.

I too use (inter alia) a Mamiya 645 Pro.

Does anyone in the Mpls area ever get together for an outing? Just curious-thought it may be a good time. Its nice to see some like-minded folks so close.

I just had the pleasure of meeting Thom B (huggyviking) from St Paul last week to exchange looks at some prints, and had a blast. I'm (unfortunately) not a big hiker, so an outing wouldn't be in my agenda, but I know there are at least four other Minnesotans around here who may be into that sort of thing.

As much as I would love to meet some of the local members I struggle with agoraphobia and do not often leave home. When I do leave home I rarely venture beyond the SW suburbs.

Hi Matt and everyone else in the Twin Cities area,
I'm just East of St Paul in Hudson, Wisconsin. Keep me in mind if you want to get a group together to go hiking / shooting. Especially if there's any medium format folks out there. -David J.

Welcome. Has springtime arrived in Minnesota already?

I think spring arrived sometime in January. Summer came, a while ago, and apparently is gone. According to this mornings weather we are already experiencing fall.
