Hello from Michigan!

I am a student and have a great passion for the arts and photography.

I use a Canon AT-1 that I inherited from my late uncle and recently bought a Mamiya C33. I develop my own film and hope to set up a darkroom in the future. I primarily shoot black & white and slide film. My favorites being Acros and Astia.

I'm looking forward to being apart of this community and learning from all of you!

Grand Haven?

I can't count how many pictures I've shot from the top of Five Mile Hill. The first summer that I was into photography, (1973) I brought a Satellite 127 and three rolls of expired Tri-X,, and shot pictures of anyone and everything (My aunt/uncle/cousins summered there).

Twenty-five years later, I brought some of those pictures, a Satellite 127, and A roll of Efke KB21 there and made "then and now" shots (and there were a lot of changes!).

I live far away from GH (Temperance, the period at the end of the last page of Michigan.)

I love Grand Haven also. Used to get yelled at by the coast guard for walking on that catwalk to the lighthouse. Used to practically get blown off the end of the pier when they had the old compressed air foghorn going. I knew the old dog mascot that was on the coast guard boat that is now buried under the brass plaque.
