Hi all

Finally found a forum thats active and discusses film photography!
Ive been shooting digital as an amateur and hobbyist photographer, shooting mainly landscapes/nature but have done events and portrait photography. In the last 12 months I got myself a Hasselblad 500c and entered the world of Medium format. Ive had mixed success so far with the Hassy, mixed because some films turn out and others were blank. I think i've nailed it down to forgetting to wind up the film on the magazine, oops. However the experience is refreshing and fascinating, because of the added challenge of everything being manual and a new format being square, not to forget the inverted viewfinder! Im still learning what films I like and plan experiment further, including IR. On the other hand im tempted by 4x5 large format but im still learning about it and the costs involved...

Thats me in a nutshell, look forward to reading, sharing and learning on APUG.

I agree with Sirius. Great camera choice. I use a 500 C/M. My first two rolls were loaded back to front. The first one was under Sydney Harbour Bridge and the second was outside Flinders St Station. By my third roll I realised what I was doing wrong. There are a lot of APUGers in Melbourne. Three of us have just received our new Travelwide 4x5 cameras.
