Hello Apuggers
I've lurked on here for a few years without every really saying hello.
My name's Stephen, a Kiwi by birth who has been living in London for the last 20 years or so. I'm a journo by day and a film nut.
The bug bit me about 15 years ago, when i bought an old Praktica and a Lomo LC-A. Now I have 70-odd cameras, a freezer full of film, and I run a film photography blog in my spare time.
Dead Link Removed
I've got a soft spot for old Soviet stuff, but my collection also counts plenty of other no-USSR cameras. It's all working too - I get out and shoot as much as I can.
If I had to choose my faves, it would be the Iskra for 6x6, Pentax ESII, Zenit 19 and Nikon F100 for SLR shooting, Lomo LC-A and Cosina CX-2 for compacts, and my Olympus 35RC and Zorki 4K for rangefinder shooting.
Interested to hear from any others shooting Soviet stuff or M42.
Cheers
Stephen
