I got on the wrong foot here, and I hope The water has gone under the bridge.
I am a freelance labtech & I shoot mostly art type photography, 35mm-8x10.
I am starting to dabble in contact printing simply because I have access to a neg-production lab.
I hope I can further my experiences on occasion here.
best, 418
(my nick-name 'is' 418, if you were curious "four-eighteen")

Welcome to the group. We're a pretty forgiving bunch here. I understand that you got the '418' part of your nickname because you start happy hour 42 minutes earlier than the rest of the world, but what is the 'e' for?
Sometimes scuffles crop up but I've found this to be a pretty amicable crowd. Welcome, I'm sure that you've got a lot to add to the discussions. Looking forward to you sharing your work in the galleries too.
I spent many years working in the Labs myself. E-6 tech, C-41, B&W and C printing. It's a miracle that I still enjoy it so much
No worries 418. Welcome to the forum from your neighbor to the west, at the moment, wet and rainy Hawaii!!! BTW, do you have a name, or do you prefer to be called just 418E.

Anyone else getting sick of Robert constantly reminding us that he lives in Hawaii. I vote he be forced to live next to an oil refinery in NJ for a month or two the next time he brings it up.
welcome 418e from here on the beautiful border of Detroit, next to those twin boulevards of driving pleasure woodward and 8 mile. It's wonderfully overcast with a mild orange haze, punctuated by the delicate murmmerings of traffic and the forced air furnace. Temp is a balmy 40f and the brown lawns are showing signs of resurrection.
