Hello From Jakarta, I'm a new in Analog Photography

Hi Guys,

My name is Irvan, form Jakarta/Indonesia.

A short story about me and analog photography :
15 years ago, I used my dad's Pentax SLR (I forgot the model name). But it was replaced by DSLR on 2008. And been using DSLR since then. About 3 month ago, I feel like I have to move to something classic. Since I'm not quite satisfy yet with digital color tone, etc. So I was looking for an analog rangefinder and just got a yashica electro 35gsn. Just do a quick chech, and eveything looks ok, all the electronics are fine. Except I lost the self timer screw.

Actually, I was looking for Konica, Minolta, or Canon. But its so hard to find it on second hand market in Jakarta.

Hi! That will be fun getting out with that nice camera. I would stick to negative film. Sometimes the shutters are a little slow. I found a Fujica, very similar. I had the camera cleaned and adjusted, works Great! Yashica made great cameras, my first medium format camera was a Yashica twin lens 120, that camera was great.
Get a developing tank and start developing black and white film.

hi guys. sorry for the late reply. thank you for the warmest welcome.

so the story is :

my first roll was a mess x(. Something wrong with my camera, and so the auto speed was not working as I expected.

my first roll was all over exposure. The camera is on process of being repaired now

But right now, I'm using an old point and shoot Fuji. My very first camera. Its getting developing now, hopefully I can share it in two days. *fingers crossed

Last week, went to my parents house and found a lot of my father's classic cameras (include my very first ever camera) :

wow, a nice set of BAHASA. Yes, I'm starting my journey now. And hopefully can stick to analog for a long time. The problem is in Jakarta, only few store/online store that sells negative. And I count around 5-7 store who can develop film.

I'm thinking about getting my own developing tools and chemicals. and also a set of scanner.
