ive introduced myself on the main page already but thought i would show my face here.

im currently awaiting the arrival on my canon av-1 with some film, to start snapping away so i have pictures around the house instead of just on my phone.... also to help me learn a new skill in time.

seems im having trouble scoping out somewhere to develop film though. ive not used film for ages and am now unsure if boots/tescos/sainsburys do developing anymore. found a few places online which look reasonably priced. im sure ill find more suggestions as a delve into the depths of this forum.

also finally, an advanced apology for any stupid questions which may be coming your way.

cheers

Phil

welcome philc

If you are shooting B&W, developing yourself is a cinch (once you have mastered getting the film on the developing tank reel in the dark). You can then send away the negs for printing (e.g. ilford), or scan and print them (but don't talk about that here ), or set up a darkroom......................

For colour I use these guys http://www.photo-express.co.uk/index.php - develop and scan for £5.50/film (their standard scan is 6Mp which is good enough) - very reliable - good quality negs. They will also print as well obviously if you want prints.

cheers mr rusty for the tip. i have developed a couple of bit before from a pinhole kit i got as a child. on of the films ive ordered is a b&w but can be developed in c41 so options there!

just bougt a çheap miranda 28mm lens off ebay from advise of a work colleague. so ill se how i go
