Hi all, I'm Mike Wynd and I live in a medium sized town in south east Australia. I've been shooting 4x5 for about 21 years now. I found this site by accident but by crikey it's good. I've learnt so much from so many of you and I've been able to pass it along to the photography teachers at the tertiary institute I work at. I have a Nagaoka 4x5 at the moment, but I've damaged it and have just ordered a Shen Hao from Jeff at Badger Graphics (maybe I should tell my partner that I've done it) and I'm expecting delivery any day now. Until I started reading this forum I didn't think there was so much to learn, but now I know that I'm really a beginner. I'm looking forward to reading and learning more each day.
Thanks to all of you.
Mike
Welcome Mike from Hawaii!!! You found the right place, there is a lot of information here that you will find useful. Also, you will find a lot of Aussies as well - several live in Melbourne alone. As for me, I visit Australia almost every year (I'll be in Bright, Victoria in October).
And from yet another Sydney-ite addicted to APUG - welcome Mike.
I lived in point Londsdale for a year, which is pretty close to Geelong. I loved the fishing, and the swimming/exploring in the rockpools during the summer time, truly a beautiful part of the world.
