Hello the Photrio community!

I introduce myself! I'm Théodore from France. I was falling in love with a famous US camera model. A Graflex Speed Graphic 4x5. I begin to use this machine since 2 month. I love her!

I have a lot of question about this model. I'm sure that, there are US photographs on this website who can help me to use it!

I use original flash with flashbulbs. And i have some questions about it...

I'm sorry for my English. I hope it is readable...!

Ha! Your English is far better than my French! Nevertheless... Bonjour!

A speed graphic was my first 4x5 camera, and that was not so long ago. Welcome to Photrio.

Welcome to Photrio...glad to have you here and there is no need to apologize for your English! I was stationed at Pirmasens Germany in 1975 through 1978 and frequently travelled in your country. A wonderful experience which I would love to repeat though I fear that is extremely unlikely!

Welcome to Photrio.

Someday I want a 4x5 too. What kind of photography do you do with it? Feel free to share!

And your english is very understandable. Don't be embarrassed.

Welcome !

How come that your sample looks pristine? I mean, it was meant as a camera for professionals.

(By the way, I never came across a Speed Graphic, not even on camera fairs. It never was on the german market.)

Hum! Good question. To says all, I have buy this machine in EBay.com (I have import it in France).

At the begin, I was interested only by the accessories of this machine because, the seller says on his announce that it was a 2x3. And when the parcel arrived in France... I see that it is a 4x5!

And! Fortunately...! All was in good condition!

Welcome! Join the crowd!

Sweet Camera! I have 3.25 x 4.25 Speed Graphic and, even with the limited choice of film available without cutting it yourself, it is a marvelous camera.

To me it's the best compromise between a view camera and roll film camera. Have fun!

On my last vacation in France I took my Hasselblads and a tripod to photograph the Eiffel tower at night. No 4"x5".

Welcome to Photorio. Wow, can I still say APUG? That just feels all weird. I digress. Welcome to the Romper Room. Great camera you have there. Just picked up a 23 yesterday. Have fun with the big pieces of film.
