My name is Ashfaque and currently an Economics research student. I thought I introduced myself long time ago! I apologise for such a long delay.
I'm quite keen on analogue photography. Lately I'm also eyeing for an MF system. I've been visiting APUG quite regularly. It seems whenever I do some Google search APUG pops out! I hope to learn from you. But in the process I will possibly be asking a lot of dumb/easily solvable questions that have been already been addressed. So please be gentle with me. You can see some of my photos on flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/13231078@N05/
Hi Ashfaque. Are you at Nottingham Trent University or Nottingham University? If Nottingham Trent then I seem to recall it had a Photography Department with a darkroom a few years ago. If I am right then it is worth checking if you can have access to it. Even if you attend Nottingham there might be a access via reciprocal student arrangements.
I might of course be spouting "hot-air" about there being darkroom facilities in which case I apologise but I hope there are darkroom facilities available as it could give give you real opportunities
Thanks for the idea, pentaxuser. I'm at Nottingham Uni. I came across Trent's offerings whilst browsing. I might give one or two a go when I get back to Notts, provided I can manage some time away from uni work and newly wedded wife.
Ashfaque, I have just checked out the Nottingham Trent Photography degree course and it mentions being able to follow either an analogue or digital path so there has to be darkroom facilities.
Clearly worth investigating. Just making contact with some of the photography course students might be worthwhile
