After about 9 months of lurking around, I figured that Id introduce myself. So, hello! My name is Jen. I am from Connecticut, but right now I am living in Boston for law school -- I'm in my third year, almost done! Even though most of my time is devoted to school, I love photography and wish I could spend more time on it. Ive been around photography my entire life my dad is a photographer and a fellow APUG-er (Hi Dad!). As a child, I spent a lot of time in the darkroom, watching and learning. When it was time for me to try it for myself, I started with 35 mm and eventually moved up to medium format in high school and college. In college I took a few photo classes, but quickly learned that I did not like having deadlines and assignments. I am someone who likes to photograph what I want, when I want; and it's nice to not have a final product due every other week. Last December I decided that I wanted to upgrade to 4x5, so I purchased a Linhof Tech III from ebay. This semester my class load isnt as heavy, so Im hoping to have more time to explore the city with my cameras. Then when I go home to CT during school breaks, I will spend some time in my dads darkroom and maybe even post some of my photos here.
Anyway, time to get back to studying. Just thought Id say hello and also say thank you for all the great info! I try to read a little every day, it's a great study break
