I live in Cape Town, South Africa. Oddly buying a DSLR in 2007 sparked an interest in analogue photography when I realised I still had a Yashica-Mat LM in a cupboard as well as a Zorki-C I had bought in a Bulgarian flea market about 15 years previously.
A quick trip to the local camera repair man and I was the proud owner of two very capable cameras. Since then they have bred like rabbits in my house and while I have my favourites they all get their day out once in a while.
The main shooters at the moment seem to be a Minolta Hi-Matic 11 and a Rolleicord Va
I built a darkroom with mostly donated gear. At the middle of everything is a Simmon-Omega D2.
Welcome to Apug, glad to see another real camera shooter join us. Good luck with the dark room, it's the best part of photography. After over 45 years of it I still find it magical to watch a print develope.
Welcome to APUG, and if I'm not mistaken also a fellow SAR-L mamber?
Great pictures on your flickr stream, I particularly enjoyed the Muizenberg and Hout Bay black and whites. Good luck with the darkroom. APUG is a great resource, with some great members.
