I am a medium format film photographer who has been relatively inactive for a while. I just bought a Fuji X-T2, and am reawakening my passion for photography. I still have my medium format film equipment, and am considering reviving it also. I picked "DSLR" as my main photo method as it is the closest choice offered (I may change it to "Hybrid" later...).

I came to this forum because I tried starting conversations on other forums about topics like curtain coating and film manufacturing, and got very little interest. It is not my main interest on a photo forum (and I suspect this is true for most people on this forum), but having some background in die coating I am interested in this topic. I found this forum doing some google searches which indicated some discussion on this topic

Welcome!

I have a Fuji X-T1 and it's a great little camera. Intuitive and fun to use.

But, I get way more enjoyment out of shooting film. There's nothing like shooting, developing, and wet printing, then having a tangible print that you can hang on your wall. Completely unlimited creative control all the way through that process.

Be careful though, the people on this forum are up to no good. When I joined a year, I had a single 35mm Nikon and a 50mm lens. I now have two medium format systems, complete darkroom, and I'm really wanting to get into large format wet plate collodion and other alternative processes. It's a slippery slope!
