Hi! Somehow, while reading photo.net I stumbled on a link to this website. My speciality is ethnographic photography, particularly Latin America. Currently I am a mix of film and digital, but prefer the former. My most recent purchase was a Nikon D70s, but my favorites are a Nikon F100 and an FE2 teamed with prime lenses. I find my field workflow much faster with an aperature ring and switching primes, than delving into menus with a dSLR. My main gripe about the dSLR is the fear of switching lenses in the field, re. - dust on the sensor.
My main films are Fuji Astia 100F and Reala 100. I was beginning to feel obsolete until a stumbled on to this website. My next trip to Mexico I'll take the D70s for medium and long, but the F100 or FE2 for wides (where I do most of my shooting). I use a Nikon Coolscan 4000 to scan my slides or
negatives.
