A couple of years ago I found a Wester Six in a box full of stuff that belonged to my grandparents, it needed a clean and some lubrication. Once I got it working again I took it out on an outback camping trip and got some lovely photos. This little rangefinder rekindled my interest in analogue photography and I dusted off my Pentax P30.

My latest editions are a Yashika 12 purchased on ebay cheap because it wasn't working, but a simple clean & lube got it going and a Kowa Six MM which has been gifted to me, also not working. The Kowa will be a challenge to get back into working order, but hopefully, I may get some tips from others on this forum.

Welcome aboard! We have a good contingent of people from 'down under' participating here on Photrio. Nice to see it's still growing, too!

Welcome!
The Kowa Six MM is capable of very good pictures, worth the effort to get it going again. If you have the side grip it’s the best handling MF slr I’ve ever used.

G'Day from Big Town (Melb.), but holidaying in cluttered, chaotic Barwon Heads!

A malleefowl... stands atop a dirt mound and scratches furiously. You must love them to adopt that moniker! Anything else roaming around the hot and dusty Mallee...?
