We don't all agree on everything
How sad. I thought that I was being "rude" and I now find out that I am like all the rest. Just joking, I think. Welcome to the group. I think you are going to enjoy Medium Format. Please do photograph a Saguaro even if you must leave home to do so. The closest thing to a native desert plant here is a member of the Opuntia Family. Too wet here for most. We do have a few Roadrunners running around a nearby golf course. They, along with scissor-tailed flycatchers, showed up during a drought back in the 1950s. We already had Armadillos and scorpions........Regards!Hi to all and thank you for letting me join your forum. I am 61 years old and have been shooting since 1972. Yesterday, I purchased my first medium format camera, a Mamiya 645 AFD kit and looking so forward to getting out and shooting next week.
I have been shooting digital for the last 5 years but always missed the enjoyment I got from film. I was about to order a new digital camera when I noticed this kit in the used department on the B&H website. I knew right then it was my calling to not only return to the enjoyment of film but also to finally get into medium format that I have been wanting to do since the 1970's. The only reason it took so long was that I never was able to afford a MF system but thanks to digital it is now possible.
The one thing that I noticed in reading posts on this forum was the lack of rude people that I have encountered on other forums. It seems that everyone here is truly passionate about helping each other. I am looking forward to getting to know everyone and getting out and experiencing what I have missed for so long. Thank you again for the add to the forum.
