Hi Everyone,
I was into Photography as a teenager and then dropped out of it as life's responsibilities closed in. I'm now in the process of dusting things off and getting back into it after a 25+ year hiatus. I have been lurking on this site for quite some time and finally decided to go legit! I would like to thank Sean, the moderators and the rest of the cast of interesting characters (and you know who you are) for helping me make the decision to pursue photography again.

I thank you all for the kind welcome. The feeling of community that this site exudes just amazes the heck out of me. I know it has been said (written?) a number of times in the various forums, but I would like to reiterate that this site is beyond adjectives or adverbs, quite possibly even similes or metaphors (ok, I'll stop). It really is a global community of individuals who go out of their way to contribute. I have been using the web almost since it has existed and I have never seen anything like it.
