I've been lurking, and decided to join in.

Tried digital for awhile, but it doesn't appeal; as a matter of course I've always been one to go against the grain - so here I am. Been on a camera-buying binge, but that's settling. If I could have only three they'd be my Rollei 35, Hassy 500C/M, and Wista 4x5 field camera. (Also like the Fuji GW645S - cheap and makes good photos). The rest I'll sell if I can ever find the time.

Having a spare house made setting up a darkroom conflict-free with the other half. Couple enlargers and enough stuff to make black and white prints up to 20x24, although 90% of the time it's 11x14 and smaller. Currently playing with bleaching and toning.

Enjoy landscapes environmental portraiture... or whatever mood I'm in.

Hi Axel,

Welcome to the anti-grain. :D

Welcome to AUG

You would like to use and own Hasselblads and 4"x5" cameras, so we know that you have good tastes and are very intelligent. Enjoy APUG.

Welcome to APUG! Sounds like you are all set up.

Hello and happy APUGging!

Thanks all. Still have a lot to learn, but have had good results. Learning from others, mostly through books, but sometimes through this website and others seems to work.

My problem is finding enough time to get out and take photos. The rest is following recipes and practicing/perfecting the art of making prints. Really dig doing it the old-fashioned way!

My wife and I spent several afternoons watching the Isotopes, drinking beer and eating hot dogs. Magic. It's a great town.

Love it here. And being "New Mexico" the densest among us seem to think it's a part of Mexico. Even more brilliant is that the freeways traverse the most boring parts of the state.
