I'll have to look up Duffy's next time I'm in the area. The last time I had a Rubin sandwich I was in New York, the deli's there are beyond belief. Few places have clam chowder that's any good. The same with crab and salmon cakes if you can find any.
We moved up to Skagit from Seattle twelve years ago to the small town of Edison. One of our reasons for doing so was that we would be neatly positioned between two oyster farms, a few miles away in either direction. Best clam chowder recently was in Astoria. Somewhere I have the name of the place, but couldn't find it just now.
I bet it rains a lot more where you are. We get less here than Seattle, a bit more than Sequim, something like 20" / year.
A late welcome from a former resident.
My first nine years were spent on Bench Drive.
I would really like to retire in my old home. I the rain and fog. People laugh when I describe growing up with 360 days of rain and 5 days of fog!
Anyway, welcome to APUG! It's a great place to call home.
