I'm Gustavo. I spent 8 years living in Germany, but recently my family made the decision to return, last year, to our home country, Portugal.
Although I've been around for quite some time, I haven't been very participative. To be honest, it's not really my nature; I tend to be more of a spectator. However I want to change that.
My journey into photography began after a wave of nostalgia washed over me. I noticed at a birthday party that nobody was taking pictures anymore, and the big flashes that used to fill the room were not there anymore.
Since then, I've come to realize that I truly enjoy crafting stories through pictures. Despite the challenges involved, it's the aspect of photography that excites me the most.
I used to have my own darkroom, but now I'm eagerly waiting to settle in Portugal so I can build another one and start printing again.
That's about it. I'm looking forward to getting to know more people and perhaps sharing my insights from time to time.
I use Instagram to share my work, although right now it's kind of in a stand-by state.
