Just seemed like a good idea to introduce myself

I'm Mike from the UK (Newcastle to be somewhat exact) and recently decided to bite the bullet and get back into film photography. Haven't done any since the 90's with pocket instamatics, my dad bought a new digital camera (Something like 100k pixels) and after that the novelty of taking films down to the local photo shop and waiting fingres crossed for a week wore off.

Then when I went to uni I met a guy who was very into vintage photography and it appealed to me and slowly I got dragged in, and now I'm developing my own films and using a mixture of homemade and 80s vintage equipment. I can honestly say it's been great fun so far!

So now I've joined here to help me develop my skills further and have some fun too  Hopefully see you around

- Mike

Welcome to APUG

Thanks for being so welcoming! And yes, I must say I'm slightly addicted to developing my own film, especially in unusual developers

Welcome to APUG. Here, you can learn a lot; Here, you can teach a lot.
Henry.

Trying different lenses, films, developers have great fun. Alternative processes and emulsion making plus building your large format camera and carrying heavy equipment in to rocks and carrying back and sharing the pictures...

I advise you to be subscriber and see your developer what had been done is the encyclopedia of APUG. There are great articles also.
I can send you few e books pinacle of the art. PM me your email address.

Welcome,
Umut

Indeed Umut gives great advice...
