My name is Mónica Martins, I live near Lisbon, in Portugal.
I have been a member of this site for almost 17 years (I had to go check because I had no idea anymore) but I have not been back here for ages, since my photography has been a bit neglected for a long while.
I still shoot on occasion but not as much as I used to, and mostly I just develop the film. My enlarger has been patiently gathering dust along with most of my equipment.
However, recently I have been feeling more willing to get back to it. So here I am, once again, introducing myself to the community.

@koraks can you tell me more about the Postcard Exchange? Is this something ongoing here between members? I was trying to find something in the forums, but there's only so much you can do with a smartphone screen.
I'll try to investigate this further in the morning but now I'm curious

Out of curiosity, I was just reading through the first introduction thread you started here - 17 years ago!
It is good to see that your interest has lasted all these years.
Sadly, many of the respondents to your first thread are no longer with us - but some of us are still here, and many, many more have joined in the intervening years.

The interest was always there, but life sometimes gets in the way...
I hope I can spend some more time doing this again because I really love it.
And maybe, who knows, I might bring along a now-22-years-old mini-me (yes, my daughter caught the photo bug too )

P.S.: - Editing my reply because I have news to share!
This is probably a clue to how disorganized I am, but two days ago, while I was going through some drawers, boxes and tins in the space I use as my darkroom, looking for something else, I found: Surprise Surprise... 4 exposed rolls of Fuji Acros 120 that I have absolutely no idea where or when they were shot!
So... back into the darkroom we go!

True! I think buying film wasn't cheap back in 2006, but today it's almost impossible!
