Hello,

Acording to Voigtlander data, Heliar 120/4.5 lens covers 8 1/2 x 10cm wide open. I wonder if it could be used with 9x12, if so, which f/stop has to be put to start covering 9x12 format? Has someone checked it? I am not sure if I should make a bayonet flange for it to use it with Bergheil 9x12.

regards.

Do you have the 135mm Heliar on your Bergheil? The difference with a 120mm will be small, and you will probably have some falloff in the corners. If you want a shorter lens cheap, find a 10cm Goerz Dagor. I've seen some on Goerz Roll-Tenax cameras for 120-film. (I have one myself). The 10cm Dagor is a sharp little lens, and it should cover 9x12.

I am going to buy Heliar 135mm but would like to use it with Bergheil 6x9 (I have already Heliar 105/4.5). 120mm would be a companion to Heliar 150/4.5 I also own. Dagor 10cm is too close to Angulon 90/6.8 I just bought.
Would be exelent if 120mm covers 9x12 with f/22 stop.
