Heat Absorbing Glass

Hello All,
FWIW, I noticed that an outfit called Surplus Shed (in Pennsylvania) has an assortment of Jaeger-manufactured heat absorbing glasses in various sizes and shapes--none more than a few dollars each. They pass visible light but stop the infared which heats up the negs, etc.

Aren't they a great resource of many cool Optical items.
