I swapped some unused gear for a nice Manfrotto monopod. The head a rigged up is top heavy and awkward to use.
My search turned up a Manfrotto 234 head from Henry's Canada listed at a nice price ($30.00+ shipping).
Any users? How do you like it?
I use one, most often with my Canon 30D. It's a very good lightweight option. IMO, a monopod head doesn't need to be complicated since you have so much freedom of movement. This one is "just right".
The 234 is just ace. The quick release version (234RC) is also an excellent piece. I use them on my Manfrotto ART134 monopod when I need to stablise one of the bigger SLRs. Remarkably inexpensive for the engineering quality.
