... but I can always be wrong... (I have been known to be wrong)

I have not tried cleaning it, i wanted to first figure out what I was dealing with. I paid $375 for the lens so not sure if that is a fair price or not. The seller described the item as in pristine condition. Would it be better to send it out for cleaning?Looks like fungal growth starting, but is hard to tell from such a low resolution image.
Have you tried cleaning it?
If you paid a premium price for the lens, I would not touch it and return it for a refund.
If you got a reasonable deal, then I would try cleaning the exterior of the rear element with 50/50 mixture of ammonia and hydrogen peroxide, followed by lens cleaner.
If the seller discribed it as "pristine" he's either a liar , blind or a fool .I have not tried cleaning it, i wanted to first figure out what I was dealing with. "your better off without it .
Get it sent back and get your money back .
Then get another from a reputable seller ."
I am currently trying to work with the seller, but he isn't being to responsive. Thanks
Did you get it off eBay ?
If
Where did you get it ?
I would open a refund/return ticket because sooner or later you will do it anyway.Yes EBay, communicating with seller now.
