I have not one, but two Hasselblad bodies that won't fire. Press shutter, nothing happens. They both came to me in this condition, so I brought it upon myself thinking "jammed" might mean an easy fix like spinning the lens-cocking screw. But that's not it. Any other simple things I can try?
If you paid more than a couple of hundred each I would return them if you can. If you want to fix them there are some videos on u tube showing how the outer shell is removed and see if they fire out of the shell. I had one that the mirror lock up lever was preventing it from firing. Maybe you can trade one for the price of a repair from a service shop?

Both were cheap. One was a 503CX I purchased to harvest the acutte-matte screen out of for $180, and the other part of a 3-body-2-back 500 C and C/M bundle for $200 where all the bodies and backs with issues ranging from minor to major. Anyways, the 503CX will go back to the source because it doesn't have an acutte-matte as claimed. From the 3-body-2-back bundle has two mostly working bodies and backs that look rough and just need seals replaced so this third body is just icing on the cake. Maybe I'll keep it as a parts body for my working 500C/M so I can be future-repair-proofed. Also, this particular non-working body came with a working meter knob so that's worth it by itself!
At those prices send them for CLAs. Call KEH and find out what they would give for an estimate range with parts extra. Or just send them to KEH for a better estimate. Also Hasselblad in New Jersey.
