it seems much harder than i thought to find a straight forward answer online as to what adapters go with what lenses for the hasselblad bayonet mount lenses. i have a 40mm, 80mm and 150mm lens (T*, but the older models -"C", i believe. not the CLF, CL or CF ones).
i'm wondering what the b50, b60 and b70 mounts are for? will the b50s work for my 80 and 150 lens and the b70 work for the 40?. i asked the questions to the providers of the adapters in hong kong and they didn't seem to have a good answer either. any help would be great. thanks in advance - jordan.

Go to http://www.hasselbladhistorical.eu/HW/HWLenses.aspx
and figure out which model lenses you have. That will tell you which size filter and lens hood you have for each.

It may help you to use the lens serial numbers on the left side of the page to figure out the exact model.

so where does one find this exotic adapter? i just checked ebay and i haven't found anything. also googled it and couldn't find anything. do they even really exist?

for now i can hold up the cokin P series filters up to it, but if the price is right, i'd like to just get an adapter and buy some lenses so i'm not getting my finger tips on the negative

The 40 Dist takes bayonet Series 104 filters

Hi There,

The old Hasselblad 40mm Distagon "C" lens takes bayonet-mount 104mm filters. Hasselblad made four of them:

#50547 Yellow
#50555 Yellow-Green
#50725 Orange
#50733 Haze

They come up on ebay, but are big and tend to be expensive. Most I see come up in the $100/price-range.

Not really. I'd look for a steal-deal on one ($30-$40) in a junk box. They -do-come up.

Once you have the filter, you can always remove the glass, and make it into an adapter. I have removed the glass from a 86mm Hasselblad filter, by wrapping it in a paper towel, placing it on my concrete garage floor, and smacking it in the center with a ball pien hammer. Glass comes out -very- neatly.

Helioplan still make filters for the Hasselblad. Some times they are available, sometimes they are back ordered. Try Samys Camera in Los Angeles or KEH. Both have gotten B-60 filters for me.
