Does anyone know any hasselblad technians in Toronto, Canada? I have a 503CW that I need to have CLA'd. Can't find anyone in Toronto, Canada!

I know Joe Vieira was a very well known Hasselblad technician but I heard he passed away 7 months ago.

I don't know if Kindermann is still doing camera CLA's and repairs but if they are DON'T send anything to them. I sent them a Leica M5 for a CLA and they butchered it. Scratched the top plate, the rangefinder was out of alignment and the work they were suppose to do so I could use regular batteries was botched. I called to complain and all they had to say was they hated working on M5's. I finally got a refund out of them after a lawyers letter.

I doubt here is any services left. Toronto film market is down to mini crowd at Downtown Camera. Which only re-sells films cameras with big margin.

Shame - Joe was a skilled tech that I used many times.
I haven't heard of any others in the area unfortunately and need a 500 EL/M CLA'd
Does anyone know of others within Canada -- or even in the US aside from that one Oddess guy?

Reopening this query, since I have a 500C which won't wind. The lens is off, the mirror and shutter are up, turning the shutter cocking screw doesn't work - it won't turn enough.

Anyone who can repair a lens should be able to repair an enlarger lens, which is much simpler than almost any other lens. Well, depending on what's wrong with it.

@Carnie Bob -- I know @Light Capture can fix Hasselblad lenses. There are undoubtedly numerous places within Toronto that can either fix your lens or know someone who can fix it. There's this place (Mississauga), which might fix it. Other than balsam separation or scratches or coating loss, any problems an enlarging lens would have should be able to be fixed by anyone halfway competent. It's just a barrel lens with an aperture.

There is Brian's Camera Shop in Newmarket, Ontario. He works on both old and new stuff, including lens repair I am pretty sure.

There is no harm in seeing if he can provide the service you are looking for.

I've used Brian's Camera Shop and Halton Camera Exchange (Georgetown, repair still pending). Not for Hasselblads but both are near Toronto. In those instances they didn't do the repairs themselves but sent it out to another tech. Not a problem in itself but this might complicate communication and feedback.
