Hasselblad SWC/M up for sale. Prontor CF shutter. This thing is in fantastic condition. I've had it for about 3 months. As much fun as this camera was, I find I'm not this much of a medium format shooter, and I need to put my photo money elsewhere. Medium format has turned out to be a distraction to my other shooting. If I were rich, I would keep it without a doubt. But, I'm not :D

Back is a new style A12 back with the Hasselblad holder for the dark slide. Has matching serial numbers on the insert.

Comes with original finder, hood, B60->67mm step up ring, focusing screen, focusing viewer thingy, Hasselblad strap, and Op/Tech strap with additional loop attachments.

Most importantly, it also has the much sought after Cosina Voigtlander 6x6 angle finder, with case and box. If you don't want this, I'll take $450 off the price of the camera. I will not sell the finder separately.

The previous owner had it forever and barely shot it. He sent it in for a $300 CLA at Precision Camera right before he sold it to me. As he was opening the package, he nicked the winding crank with a razor. You can see it in the photo. I think this should be easily replaced. This is the only cosmetic damage to the camera - everything else is flawless.

Paypal fees are your responsibility, but I'll pay shipping in the US. I'll also take money order. Would prefer a US sale.

I'm going to save us all time and not price it high with the expectation that people will try to work the price down. $3000 firm. I'll donate some bucks toward APUG too.

Hi Tim,
If you were to rate the camera lens condition similar to KEH cameras, what number would you apply?
Any idea how old this model is?
I assume the lens is flawless, shutter functions as designed and magazine wind on and negative spacing is correct; please confirm.
Thank you.
Martyn

I've never purchased from KEH. But, besides the mark on the crank handle, it looks flawless. The original finder is missing a tiny bit of paint on the edges, but the camera is not anywhere. I talked to the previous owner for a bit about the camera and it seemed like he never used it. He sounded like one of those guys who buys camera gear and just lets it sit - he was telling me that he had a Mamayi 7 kit that he had purchased new and never used yet.

It was just sent in for a CLA like I said. All the functions work perfectly as far as I can tell. The negative spacing is indeed uniform, the shutter speeds appear correct, etc.

I think it is a 1983 or 84 model. I can look at the serial when I get home. Whichever it is, it is within a couple of years after when Hasselblad switched to Prontor CF lenses. It is NOT an upgraded SWC/M; it came from the factory that way.

I didn't get an email from you? I'll check my spam box...

To update you on the date, the serial number starts with RP, which puts it as a 1983 model.

$2900. Or reasonable offers.

Also be willing to trade for some combination of cash, a Canon 135/2 L, and/or a Canon 24/1.4 L II.

Tim, does this camera accept the Hasselblad 39MP Digital Back?

I assume. I don't know for sure. It accepts regular Hasselblad 500 backs, like the A12, A24, and A16.

There might be issues with the lens design and digital sensors; it might get fuzzy near the edges. But there should be no mechanical issues preventing hooking up a digital back for 500 series cameras.

That's what I'm thinking. I just hate going through the ebay hassle.

Yeah, just send it to me so it can spend its time with my 903.
