I've noticed that some late model V series Hasselblad camera & magazine back serial numbers have a two digit prefix before the two year dating letters (ie VHPICTURES). Here's an example:
Hasselblad 501CM 10EU11553 (EU = 1997)
A12 30EU16540 (EU = 1997)
Does anyone have a breakdown on what these prefixes (10,30) mean?
In case you have some Kodak Ektar lenses, they use the code:
C A M E R O S I T Y
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0
for dates as well. The 80mm Ektar that I had with my 1000F years ago was 1949 (ET) vintage. I also have a 105mm f/3.7 Ektar for my Speed Graphic 2x3 that is a EC or 1941 vintage,
