Just got an Accute Matte screen for my 500CM. My PME3 prism was calibrated for the standard screen that came with it, however the Accute Matte is much brighter. I bumped the ISO down on the prism to match the readings I was getting with the standard screen (and my handheld meter).

Am I pretty much good to go? Aside from getting the meter re-calibrated, is this the typical work around?

Thanks.

There is supposedly 1 stop difference in brightness between the two screens. Just double the IS0 setting of your film when you use the meter. This has worked well for me.

It is an easy fix for a Hasselblad repair man. If you have a repair man available, he can make the change in minutes. Or fly to Los Angeles and I can take you to one who will do it for you.

I think switching to an acute screen with split focus and/or microprism ring also throws calibration out of whack, or I would assume so?

My repairman quoted me $60 or $65 to convert and recalibrate my metered prism finder. I decided I could remember to double the IS0.

My repair man did not charge for the recalibration adjustment.
