I acquired this lot from a local estate auction; Estate included a photo studio.

1: 1964 500c body, needs CLA, body jammed, turned the screw shaft to release the lens but body still jammed, inner shutters closed but mirror in up position. Cosmetically A. Shows almost no signs of wear.

2: 1985 500 ELX body with Varta batteries (expired 1990), accu mat ground glass finder. Cosmetically A+. Have 9V battery adapters on order. Will update on functionality when I power it up.

3: Standard flip up viewfinder. Slight wear to the vinyl covering on one side.

4: "V" marked NC2 Prism finder, B+ shows some wear.

5: Lynn Handle #8 fast focus lever.

6: One 220 roll film magazine, A+

7: Carl Zeiss Distagon f5.6 60mm, no mold or scratches, has some dust on inner elements. Cosmetically A+. Has a Hasselblad 50 B mount hood attached but will not release, any ideas how to get it off?

8: Carl Zeiss T* f4 150mm with Hoya 60B mount UV filter , exterior cosmetically A++ perfect, no mold or scratches. Has slight amount of dust inside with one small obvious fleck noticeable when ambient light hits it. Does not appear to be mold but dust or debris of some sort.

Both lenses and magazine function perfectly on my 1969 500c with no sign of lag on the slower speed.

$750 including fees.

What do you experts think?

I'm happy.

If your happy, I'm happy for you.

Happiness (either yours or anyone else's vicarious happiness) is largely goal driven. Are you achieving your goals?

I'm quite sure that the seller is quite happy too.

If the 500 ELX was made in 1985 and has a battery in it that expired in 1990, then it probably never saw much use. Especially if it still looks very good cosmetically. The 500C may be fine again after a CLA. The 60/5,6 is very uncommon, may be interesting for the collectors. The 150mm is very common.

I don't know how the price trends for that gear are in the USA, I only can say that this would be a good hit in Europe and you'll be happier when you'll put a good roll inside those two cameras.
Well done!
