Hasselblad rotating back?

Stupid question but is there an adapter or a trick to taking pictures with the Hasselblad rotated since it doesn't rotate like the Mamiya does? Or at least a viewfinder that can make it easier to view while the camera is rotated? Asking because I ran 35mm film into the 120 back and only does it portrait unless I rotate it. So I was just wondering. Thanks!

Which back are you using? My A12 back does not need rotating because it is square format.

How did you get 35mm in it?

It takes square pictures, why would you need to rotate the back ?

BTW, Ive sought out a specific 645 camera just because it shoots portrait orientation, as well as 35mm adapter to Rolleicord TLR for same reason.

Cut the 120 spool and used the ends to put onto the top and bottom of the 35mm cartridge. Made sure the height was the same as a 120 spool and then loaded it.

Because I'm shooting 35mm in it and when loaded it's in portrait length. But I think I'll just use my prism viewfinder and rotate the camera to shoot landscape

Hasselblad had 35mm back. Kind of ultra rare & expensive. Have seen one a few years back on Ebay. Price was around 1000-1200$. 90degrees prism is the best way to use it.

+1 on the 90 degree prism or sports finder. I have a 45 deg prism and also a 645 back. I found that trying to frame a vertical with the 45 deg. prism is very mind bending.
YMMV though.

That 35mm back is interesting, looks like panoramic framing too. I guess it may have been more or less superseded by the Xpan.

Why run 35mm in a Hassy? That's what a Leica is for. (Scratching my head here).

I guess because he can. But as you say why??? There is no accounting for taste even among Hasselblad owners.

If you like 24x56mm format than you shoot it with Hasselblad and proper 35mm film back. Kind of hard to do it with regular 35mm cameras except Horizon, Widelux and Xpan. Of corse, OP likes 35x56mm, so why not!?

That is why I have a WideLux F7. The Hasselblad backs are too hard to find. Besides the WideLux gets 140° with a swing lens, while the SWC only gets 72° edge to edge.
