Hi All,
First post and a question for lens connoisseurs and those far more knowledgable than myself.
I recently picked up a Hasselblad 500CM kit with a 80mm Planar C T* lens. Everything is in fine working order and I love using the camera. The lens is a 1979 version in user condition so it has a number of scratches here and there which don't impact the images.
There is however one spot that has some nicks that resemble coating damage (the scratches are super reflective when hit with light but are barely visible in normal daylight conditions). I also have a Rolleiflex with an 80mm Planar which has some coating damage around the edges but they look different to the damage pictured below. The Planar on my Rollei is from the late 1960s I believe.
So my question is: are these coating damage? If so, why do they appear different than the ones on my Rollei?
