Hasselblad light seal replacement question

Every hypothesis deserves to be considered.
The "bad" begins when a hypothesis is clung on to for too long.
So so far, no bad at all, i'd say.

I've resurrected this ancient thread as I have 3 lovely c.1974 backs where the foam in between the foil seal is kaput. I've got seals from a old guy on ebay, work fine. I will replace the 1st one a bit later today.

Wow, this is an old thread. I usually get sucked in reading the material and at some point notice the date, and have a big sigh.

I just did a few A12 film backs this week using the seal kit from an ebay seller out of Italy. The kits included the mylar seal, foam and the felt strip for the cover plate. I used all three items and they worked well, good fit.
