So, I’ve got a show next August and in addition to my usual 16x20” prints, I’m expected to produce several 20x24” prints. I’m mostly a 35mm shooter, so I’ve borrowed a Hasselblad H2F that I can keep “indefinitely” while working on this show.
I’ve got a couple questions for anyone who knows this camera.
1) So far, I gotten through six rolls of film on a set of three CR123 batteries; edit to add: I mean, the batteries died after six rolls. Is this typical? Is there a better battery solution?
2) How do these H-series cameras compare to the classic Hasselblad square-format cameras? I’ve only used Mamiya SLRs and Fuji rangefinders.
It’s true what they say: handling a Hasselblad is bad for your pocketbook; I want one of these for myself!
Talk me out of it.
